Journal of Political Science Education (JPSE) invites submissions

The Journal of Political Science Education (JPSE) invites submissions from scholars in all fields of political science.  We are especially interested in expanding submissions on issues related to gender and political science education, but continue to welcome submissions on any topic related to pedagogy and curriculum in political science.

The JPSE is published by Taylor and Francis/Routledge on behalf of the Undergraduate Education section of the APSA.  In its first two volume years, the journal has received a large number of submissions and a lot of interest from scholars in the field.  We invite you to become more thoroughly acquainted with the journal by consulting the JPSE website at http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/titles/15512169.asp.  The website includes a detailed statement of the journal's mission, as well as instructions for contributors and subscription information.  Subscriptions are only $30 for members of APSA's Undergraduate Education section.

To provide a brief overview: the JPSE aims to publish scholarly work on teaching and learning.  We are especially interested in work that assesses pedagogy and curriculum using the same standards of scholarship as are employed in substantive research in the various subfields of political science. In addition, we also publish reviews of textbooks and teaching technology in all fields, and invite you to submit to us reviews of textbooks that you use.

The JPSE's editor-in-chief and editor are John Ishiyama (who is a comparativist specializing in party politics and electoral systems) and Marijke Breuning (who is an international relations scholar specializing in foreign policy analysis).  Both teach at Truman State University.  You may contact either one of us with queries and questions.  We can be reached at jishiyam@truman.edu or mbreunin@truman.edu.  Submissions may be made electronically by sending a message an attachment to mbreunin@truman.edu or to the journal's e-mail address at jpse@truman.edu
