Website: http://www.psa.ac.uk/
The Political Studies Association exists to develop and promote the study of politics. Founded in 1950, the PSA is the leading association in its field in the UK, with an international membership including academics in political science and current affairs, theorists and practitioners, policy-makers, researchers and students in higher education. PSA reports that the study of politics is booming in the UK, despite the fact that at the last election barely one young person in four bothered to vote. Figures published by the Political Studies Association (PSA) reveal that the study of Politics at British universities is now rising with the number of people applying to study the subject at undergraduate level up by more than 12%, from 2,547 in 2000 to 2,867 in 2001. PSA celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2000.

The British Journal of Politics & International Relations (BJPIR) is a major refereed journal published by Blackwell Publishers under the auspices of the Political Studies Association of the United Kingdom. It provides an outlet for, and encourages, articles on both British politics and the British approach to studying politics. As well as welcoming rigorous, theoretically informed analysis of British Politics - including the role of Britain in European and world politics -- the Journal provides a forum for work in any area of political science and international relations which reflects a British approach to political analysis and its relationship to other approaches, particularly those of continental Europe and the United States. In the five years since its launch in 1999 BJPIR has managed to establish itself as a high quality academic publication. It enjoys high visibility amongst the political science community in the UK and has attracted and published a wide range of valuable and scholarly research.

Politics http://www.politicsjournal.org/
Politics exists to promote lively debate in all areas of political studies. It aims to offer lucid, informative and high-quality coverage of both important contested issues and the very latest research. Politics aspires to make a valuable contribution to the teaching and learning of politics by demonstrating the scope and vigour of political science to students and by reflecting the substantive problems of education and research. The journal is a venue for the work of new members of the profession as well as that of established academics. Politics maintains rigorous editorial standards and all contributions are refereed anonymously. The journal is committed to no particular orthodoxy beyond the normal standards of scholarship. Polemical or challenging work is especially welcome.
