The International Political Science Association (IPSA), founded under the auspices of United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1949, is an international scholarly association. Its objectives are to promote the advancement of political science through the collaboration of scholars in different parts of the world. It has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and with UNESCO.
