American Section of the International Association for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy
The American Section of the International Association for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy is an interdisciplinary organization with the purpose of promoting scholarly work in the philosophy of law and social philosophy. The primary activity of AMINTAPHIL is holding scholarly discussion meetings every two years. Recent meeting topics have included consent, harm, economic justice, war, peace, and disarmament, the family, Liberalism and community, and Radical Critiques of the Law. All who attend meetings make written contributions, either principal papers or short commentaries, circulated in advance to all who intend to participate. Consequently, meetings are devoted entirely to discussion of the papers.
